The Cocoa Basil Shampoo Bar is formulated for wavy/curly/kinky textured hair to tame frizz, enhance curls, and soothe the scalp. The glorious lather of this bar helps cleanse build up on the scalp without drying and stripping your natural oils. All these wonderful things in this shampoo bar are from the use of cocoa butter, basil essential oil, bhringraj, and  oat protein.
 
Cocoa butter is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredient which hydrates, strengthens and nourishes the hair and scalp (and skin!). Cocoa butter is rich in fatty acids which are easily absorbed into the scalp and keeps hair strands moisturized. 
 
Basil essential oil is antiseptic and antibacterial which can help relieve itchiness in the scalp and increase blood flow to the roots for healthy hair growth. Basil is also an anti-inflammatory which can help relieve irritation, and is known to soothe eczema. 
 
Bhringraj is known to have antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties that may help reduce dandruff, along with anti-inflammatory properties, and may also improve circulation to the scalp.
 
Oat protein helps retain and adds moisture to the hair and scalp and helps soften and smooth the hair follicles. Oat is also an ingredient known to help relieve itching and irritation. Oat protein forms a coating on the outside layer of the hair strand to lock moisture in which is great for taming frizz.
